Clue – raining in Boston and the dog needs a walk
Re the quiz – Thanks for your taking up the challenge!
Stanford wins this round! Go Jeff Koseff – There was a puddle on the tarmac (asphalt) path – The puddle had mirror like properties and was able to reflect the tree in the park alongside the path. I think one clue is a small bunch of pine needles (middle and left ) and few other very small pieces of grass. A second puddle is seen in the bottom left corner

Picture Puzzle Can you explain?
May 30, 2016

Said the one to the other “We are apart but not yet defeeted”
Said the other to the one “I would hate to be in your shoes”
Said the other to the other. “Let’s get off our high horses, resolve our differences, move forward, and walk in the way of righteousness”
Said the left one to oneself “Was going to say left-sidedness rather than righteousness, for the sake of my pride, and my tribe, but decided to let it go”
Said the one to the other “It is better if we walk together – otherwise we will only be able to hop with no hope”
Said the one to the one “Let’s pursue One and we will find our souls”
And they found their soles and walked into the sunset, foot after foot, hand in hand and lived happily ever after.
The End

We are better working and walking together than working and walking apart.

THIS WOMAN WANTS TO MARRY MY SON . What do you think?
MARRIAGE ADVICE? –
13
And … my son wants to marry “this woman” from Poland – First impression?
(image 1) Background check
(image 2)
What is your advice?

14a
My Assessment Well let’s start from the top HER HAIR!
#1 Her hair is a mess (looks like she just got of bed! …. with my son!) # 2 It is not natural
#3 It is so sparse Could she have trichophagia? – “the compulsive eating of hair associated with trichotillomania (hair pulling). …
Sometimes those with the disorder MAY EVEN EAT THE HAIR OF OTHERS”!!!!.
Ongoing saga – Assessment of the woman that wants to marry my son
Now her head!
# 1At least it is screwed on tight (she has some sense. Of course she wants my son!) but..
#2 Screwed on only by a thread
#3 I looked inside – – Just empty space No brain – Not a piep , not a scveek – Nuttingggg!!! I tell you not a brain in that nut!

14c
Well I am not going to belabour the negative evaluation of this Poland Spring lass as a potential wife for our son
Our final observations (see arrows on pic)
#1 She was all about plastic
# 2 “Established in 1845” That makes her 171 years old “Aber Bottel” = Yiddish for Over the hill with all the craziness that goes along with that age group
#3 “100% natural water” – Who isn’t made of natural water?
#4 A little twisted
#5 Claimed her roots and foundation were holy – Right about that Many holes

15a
#6 Dents in her backside
# 7 Really from Maine – Polish thing was a pure lie –
That was the only thing that was pure about – her – lies –
And her water of course

This beautiful example reveals the superhydrophobic property of the rose leaves. As water comes into contact with the leaf it “balls” up and rolls off, cleaning the dust, drying the leaf, and preventing the growth of mould.
The water “balls” at the the edge of the angled leaf and eventually succumbs to gravity, placing the water where it can do the most good – ie the roots of the plant. NATURE IS AWESOME!

Was walking the dog thinking about depositing the dog trash and the similar dog trash events of the terrorist who murdered a 13 year old girl in her bed yesterday.
The recycling bin was next to the dog trash bin and its lid was covered with water droplets.
On closer inspection there was ROYGBIV on the water droplets ..
A welcome splash of a Jackson Pollock…
I inverted the colors and turned the image upside down and voila!!…
and all was OK for a few brief moments …
and then I thought of poor Hallel in her final moments .

From Big Bang to Eternity
A poem dedicated to our son Aaron on his birthday
From the explosive womb of Big Bang Hydrogen,
your progenitor was born
Consisting of single moving and opposite forces
Seeking companionship, and a need for Oneness
Bigger and more powerful than the self
And the atoms and elements and then the molecules of life
Were themselves given life
And then you my darling water
The purest of beings
Born with a gush from the amniotic sacs of Big Bang
Finding your way to virgin earth
Under forces beyond you
With forces in you
To enable all of life
For without you we would not be
The single droplet of rain hitting the puddle
With its kind but explosive kinetic force
Under the same original force that brought you to earth
Converting to a beautiful sound of the droplet on water
With an array of waves in perfect circle
As I ponder this wonder
The beauty of physics at its best
No energy destroyed, just converted
A simple yet not so simple action reaction of Newton
Snow, ice, vapor, waves of the sea, and a flowing river
Calming of the soul
Giver of life From Big Bang to Eternity

Lichen on a tree stump in the shape of an owl and a pussy cat
The Owl and the Pussy-Cat
BY EDWARD LEAR
I
The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea
In a beautiful pea-green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five-pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
“O lovely Pussy! O Pussy, my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
You are,
You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!”
II
Pussy said to the Owl, “You elegant fowl!
How charmingly sweet you sing!
O let us be married! too long we have tarried:
But what shall we do for a ring?”
They sailed away, for a year and a day,
To the land where the Bong-Tree grows
And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood
With a ring at the end of his nose,
His nose,
His nose,
With a ring at the end of his nose.
III
“Dear Pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your ring?” Said the Piggy, “I will.”
So they took it away, and were married next day
By the Turkey who lives on the hill.
They dined on mince, and slices of quince,
Which they ate with a runcible spoon;
And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,
They danced by the light of the moon,
The moon,
The moon,
They danced by the light of the moon.

For those who do not experience a snowy and icy winter, “Salt Stains” will need an explanation. In order to melt ice on the road and sidewalks after the city snowploughs have removed the bulky snow from the roads, they put salt down in order to lower the freezing point of the ice and hence facilitate melting. In this way the slippery dangers of “black ice” on th road and sidewalks are prevented. However the salt stains the shoes and so when people walk inside, the salt residue creates all sorts of art on the floors
